Borough Cycle Maps

Kingston Cycling Map: Kingston Council has produced a map which shows all the current safe cycling routes across the borough, as well as proposed routes to be completed in the future (including the new 'Go' Infrastructure). Get Cycling Quiet Routes Guide: Kingston Cycling Campaign have designed and produced a route guide map containing 6 routes all away from traffic. The booklet also  has a guide to crossing Kingston town centre. KCC has handily uploaded the routes to their website for viewing here. For a physical copy of the KCC guide, please email: info@cyclekingston.net

TfL Cycle Maps: TfL also produces cycle maps that cover the whole of London. Kingston is included in Transport for London’s cycle maps 9 &10.You can obtain free copies through the TfL website here or by calling the 24-hour travel information service on 020 7222 1234.

Personalised Cycle Planning

Is there a route you often ride - or would like to start to ride - but you're not sure of the best way to go? Have a personalised cycle route mapped for you by the Kingston Cycling Campaign. TfL Journey Planner: Transport for London (TfL) have produced an interactive online journey planner which now supports cycling journeys and generates route maps, found here.

Sustrans: Kingston is on Route 4 of the National Cycle Network which stretches from London to Fishguard in South Wales. You can view the route on Sustrans excellent maps here.

CycleStreet Route Planner: Plan a journey, A-B using CycleStreets route planner.It is designed by cyclists, for cyclists, and caters for the needs of both confident and less confident cyclists. Bike Citizen Route Planner: Bike Citizen is a great route planner app for your mobile. They also have an online route planner, which caters for different needs. Also with lots of added features such as sharing your route or following a tour guide route. find it here.

Become a cycling instructor

If you love cycling, you might consider becoming a cycling instructor. Whether you would like to make it a full-time job or you just want to pass on some skills at your local school or youth club, undertaking the National Standard Instructor training is the first step.

Kingston is the only London borough recognised as an instructor training organisation (ITO). Since 2007, we have trained more than 300 instructors for local authorities and independent providers.

Get involved?

Cycling is a fantastic way to exercise, travel, and enjoy the great outdoors. Wind in the hair (under your helmet of course), sunglasses on, and a picnic in your bag. However, not everyone sees it this way.

Therefore, CycleKingston is appealing to you to share the good, the bad (and the ugly?!) We want to hear your cycling experiences, news and showcase success stories along the way too.
