If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, Sky's Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
A circular 18 mile ride taking in four of London's fine Royal Parks. The route uses traffic-free paths and parkland paths and is connected by suburban roads. On your way you'll take in the sights of Richmond Park, a popular destination for London's cyclists, Hampton Court, with its majestic Palace and formal gardens and the adjoining 1100 acre Bushy Park, dating back to the 16th century. The route uses entirely tarmac roads and paths so road bikes are suitable.
